Milie's finally ready!
She's there! Finally! After a crazy week I couldn't make it on time for Milie to be ready on Thursday, and I need to apologize for this short delay. But she's finally there! Fully dressed and ready to brave the cold weather! The days are really chilly nowadays, and I guessed I couldn't let Milie go in just a skirt and a blouse!
I decided to make her a comfy little fur vest, held at the waist with a long lace. It's also reversible, and the other side is made in a heavy woolen matching fabric that I fell in love with.
I wondered a lot about the shoulder straps of her skirt. I found the solution thanks to the friends on facebook who gave me their opinions, and helped me opt for a pair of very simple and thin straps, in the same fabric as the skirt.
I like the aerial outfit thanks to the tulle that creases under the skirt. The small folds here or there allow the whole to create the movement.
I also added a tartan scarf, and a knitted lace bonnet (pattern by Winterludes).
I like the detail of the small buttons and dots on her boots too.

Milie has flexible legs, thanks to knees made of wooden beads.
She can also bend her head from left to right, and thus adopt endearing poses. Her head, and her body are entirely needle sculpted. I used a Rolling technique to form her limbs.
Milie's hair is made of alpaca fiber, sewn into wefts, which are then crocheted into a wig.
